Purpose: Power exercises are extremely important for all athletes in all sports, because they help to make you stronger, faster, and more agile. More importantly, they will help you to avoid injury. These exercises can be performed at home without any equipment. Strengthening programs like these are what separate good athletes from great ones. You can make these exercises more difficult by holding the positions longer or by doing more repetitions. It is extremely important to keep your form during these movements, so that you are not working the wrong muscles. For this reason, start these exercises slowly until you have mastered them.
