WARM UPS
A smart warmup will increase your heart rate and blood flow to the muscles used during running, increase the flexibility and mobility of the leg muscles, and begin to stimulate the muscles and joints required for running. By preparing your body for running, you are less likely to get injured.
Before every practice, we do the following warm up. You should also do this at home before each run:
-
High Knees
-
Butt Kicks
-
High Skips
-
Walking Lunges
